Design for Six Sigma: Practice is the second part of a course focused on DFSS (Design for Six Sigma), a structured methodology used to design new products, processes, or services with high quality. This course begins with a discussion on the challenges faced during product and process design. Students will learn how to categorize the Six Sigma concepts as they apply to DFSS. Further students will learn about methodologies used in DFSS, including DMADV (Define, Measure, Analyze, Design, and Verify) and IDDOV (Identify, Design, Develop, Optimize, and Verify). This course teaches skills to become a strong project manager, with a special emphasis on defining scope, scheduling, key project management tools, and closing out a project. In this course, students will apply the concepts learned in SSIG 1500.

Students who are active duty personnel, veterans, spouses and dependents will receive a 15% tuition reduction on each course upon verification of military and discharge status, if applicable.
