VUSC 1130: Theology 1: Connecting Faith and Life In A World of Diversity and Change

The world in which we live is rich in diversity, and we are constantly challenged to respond to changes in our personal lives, our country, and the world at large. To live a full life, we must form relationships with individuals and groups from different cultures and traditions. Change must be seen not as a threat, but as an opportunity to grow and evolve. This course will consider the difference between spirituality and religion and assess the role they play in helping us navigate challenges, assume leadership roles, and lead lives imbued with meaning and joy. Field trips and guest speakers will be featured.
